Before- and aftercare Coagulation/Curette

Sunscreen with SPF30/50 should be applied regularly; 6 weeks before to 4 weeks after treatment.
On the day of treatment, you should not have a cold sore. In that case we will schedule a new appointment.
If the treatment is performed in the face, come to the appointment without make-up.

Immediately after the treatment a scab is present. The crust falls off the skin after 7-10 days.
Do not scratch the scabs/crusts, this prevents scarring.
Try to keep the skin dry the first 24 hours after treatment, so it is preferred not to have a shower.
After the crusts of the skin have disappeared, a new pink skin will be present. This new piece of skin will regain color by itself.
It is important to protect the skin from the sun with an SPF 30/50. You can also keep the skin flexible with a post-treatment cream, available in our clinic.
